Update: International Call Divert...
The response to this new service
has been enormous. Both individuals working from
abroad and small businesses have been signing up.
With this product, you give your customers friends and
family a UK phone number to call you on, usually an
0871 or 0870 number, and we then direct/divert
it to many destinations worldwide to a number of your
choice. For example, you could get it diverted
to your Spanish, French, German or Italian
landline, at absolutely no cost to you. The
caller will not even know you are abroad! (except in
the case of our customer Nick M, who has diverted his
number to Australia, and is receiving calls in the middle
of the night!) Diverting to a local Mobile costs more,
but is still a lot cheaper than taking your UK Mobile
with you...More
Roaming Extension is Back!
Apart from the Spanish access
number (which has been available for a month now) as
an extension to your Calling Account, we
are about to bring back roaming access numbers from:
- AUSTRIA
- BELGIUM
- FRANCE
- GERMANY
- EIRE
- ITALY
- NETHERLANDS
Please keep checking our website
later this week, for the new access numbers.
Hints and Tips
- Logging into your WAM account;
This seems to cause many of you difficulties.
Our security systems require your PC to allow "cookies"
from our WAM site. There is an excellent set
of instructions on how to set your cookies on
this web page; click here. Look out for a WAM
Special Newsletter which will go out near the end
of this month, designed to help you make the most
of your WAM account.
- Using your Calling Account
from SPAIN; You can now use your Calling
Account to dial FROM Spain, whether from your landline,
Spanish Mobile or payphone. The access number
is 800 099762. We are still working on
adding more countries to this Service, and France,
Germany and Italy are coming soon... More.
- Setting up and using Speed
Dialling; Once you have logged into WAM, go to
My Details>Speed Dials>, click on New Number,
pick a "Key" and add your destination number
in full, e.g. *1. To use Speed dial, simply
dial the access number (e.g. 0800 949 6619) and when
you hear your balance, dial *1, *2 etc for the destination
number.
- Faults and our Backup Service;
Destination faults can happen and are of course
regrettable. If you do experience a fault, firstly
test your destination number via BT, then report it
to us, and finally email us for a backup account....More
